Some fine day, you will come across this. You tell your friends, family members and love ones about your goals, your dreams and they doesn’t seems to be supportive of it. Instead they tell you this :”Please get your soul back and come back to earth and be realistic and down to earth.” You feel sad, disappointed but inside you, you have this fire, burning inside you that you can’t describe, now you are at a cross road, two ways, one is to give up and listen to them, the other is to go ahead and just do it, either way, you choose, it’s your life anyway.

In the following example, it is a real life example that I had gone through and I am going to tell you what had happened.

Most of my friends around my age, plus minus 1-3 years old, most of them have got a girlfriend, boyfriend, husband and wife. Mostly got married, have a job, have a house and a car. They have their commitments, that I understand. But now, here is the deal, they are in a different state of mind then mine. I am still single as of this date, I don’t have this kind of commitment and I would seriously like my mum to stop working in 2-3 years time. I want my family members have a good life ahead. My friends mostly are quite stable in that sense of survival and having a good family life and I am happy for them.

I am starting to have a very different thinking between them cause I believe I can achieve more for myself and I will not settle for the less than I can do. They doesn’t agree or even support the idea of mine and at the point of them, same thing, two ways, listen to them and give up or keep going doing the things that I had put in years to learn and master which I believe in the next 3-5 years, I will be more better off than them. One thing thou, I am not trying to compare between friends as that isn’t good thou. What I am trying to drive at is that if you have a dream, a goal, plan, take massive actions and go for it, if you think that goal is really what you want dearly for a reason strong enough for you to keep at it long term and never give up! It’s not easy and I promise you, it’s one hell of a road but the fruits is there at the end of the road for you to enjoy, are you willing to do it? Ask yourself many times over and if the answer is still a Yes, Keep Going and you will not be deny!

My friends are in a state mind of in a comfort zone and life will be like that for them as time goes by. I don’t want to settle for less, I believe I can achieve more than that and I am at it for more than 3 years now. I will not give up forever until the day I leave this world.

Give yourself a pat on the back as nobody else will.

Being successful in your goals and dreams is always not an easy task. I have came to realize it on my way pursuing what I wanted in the long term. You need to have the following feelings:

Faith

Perseverance

Belief

Never Give Up Spirit

Patience

It not easy to have all the above mentioned. There are too many things in life where it will beat you to the ground permanently, if you let it. One thing I want to let you know is, the bigger the obstacles, the greater the sense of achievement. Imagine you are just a seed planted in the soil. You try your very best to grow and break through the soil, you kept trying and trying and just about when you are about to break through, you give up and in that instant, everything is over. Once you give up, everything is over, there isn’t a need to say anything at all.

If you are trying your best in doing something and you fail, change your strategy and try again. A matter of fact, many people tried something and failed and keep using the same strategy. You can’t expect a different result using the same strategy over and over again, something needs to be changed. Being successful or not, only depends on the 6 inches in between your ears, that’s all it is. We all have the same mind, same body, same soul but the difference is the software running in the mind that makes the difference.

In your road to success, you need to humble and keep learning. A cup that is already full, no more water can be pour into it, you need to empty it before new knowledge can flow in, always remember that. Lastly, I would like to share with you a small paragraph of what Steve Jobs had shared in 2005 at Standford Commencement Address.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

To date, I am not sure how many friends came to me and complaint to me about their working life at their work place, about their bosses, about their colleges, about their life how bad it is right now. Immediately, I asked them just one question :”So what are you going to do to fix that problem at your work?” About half of them continue to complaint to me further without providing any solutions, the other half have simply no idea how to fix or break the vicious cycle. Many time over, most of the people on planet earth wanted a lot of things that they wanted but to get there, they need to put in more hard work and effort, most of the them either didn’t ever start or give up half way.

It is because of that, I realised that being successful is not easy, it’s really not an easy task. Working adults like us for sure knows how tired are we after our work and went home, have a good shower and dinner, spend time with our family and went to sleep. The very next day, things repeat itself. In order to be successful, one have to work harder than that, planning and taking actions creating a side income for themselves instead of just rumbling, complaining about life. Some of the more motivated ones, will tell me, ok they will not give up, they will do this and that, they are fired up and ready to work harder but the moment they go back to their work, things fall back into where it is just like nothing had changed at all. This is life and to be frank, it is the fact of life to be exact. Now then I realised that successful and rich people deserved where they are right now, what they had achieved, what is the lifestyle they are having now just because of the fact that they had already put in the effort many and most of the people can’t do or do not have the will power to keep going. Right here, right now, you really need to ask yourself one question, just one :”How determined you are to want to achieve successful in your life.?”

“Do what the most can’t do now and you will achieve and enjoy what most can’t have later”

I had been watching Warren Buffett’s video clips on youtube and there is one series that I particularly like which is the Warren Buffett MBA Talk. There are 10 parts to it and they were ware amazing. I will be linking those videos here below later at the later part of this blog post. I would just like to share with you what I had learnt from those video clips.

Many people misunderstood the meaning of being successful and that money is evil. Let me tell you this, money is not evil, it is what it is in the beholder’s eyes. If you wanted to make lots of money to do good things then money is good thing but if you are using money to do bad things then money is a bad thing to have for you. One important point that Warren Buffett bring out is, imagine you have 100 million dollars right now, does it have any impact on your life? Most likely some will say yes and some will say no, for a start from the time of having this 100 million dollars, it will change your life to a whole different level at first, then it will more or less settle down. Now, if the following year, from the 100 million dollars, lets say you invested in some business or stocks and your return on investment (ROI) turns out to be 10 million dollars worth and now you 110 million dollars, what changes does it have in your life? Let’s say for a matter of fact, you have another 20 million dollars earned and now you have 130 million dollars, what changes or differences does it have in your life? Properly now most people will say it doesn’t matters at all.

Now I would like to ask you, in the process of being successful or becoming a millionaire or whatever you want to call it, what do you gain beside money? Take a moment in time answer this question to yourself truthfully. if you were to ask me that question, I will answer you this :” It is the person you become in the process.” Now you are a millionaire and became a powerful man on earth, the thing is so what right? What matters most is you had became someone stronger mentally and even physically with a never give up, never say die attitude towards your dreams and goals, now that’s what I called true success! Hope you had learnt something from this post and hope it will help you in your life and take control of it.

As promise, below are the youtube videos for part 1 to part 3. You can view it here or watch it on youtube directly. You are able to find the other parts of the series, until part 10 on youtube.com. Enjoy the series!
